Summary Description:
Support the finance functions and staff; provide support and solutions to continually improve the business analysis functions at the Quinnesec Mill.  This role is designed for a technically capable individual with a strong drive for results.

 

Key Accountabilities:

• All general ledger, business analysis, and fiber supply administration functions
• Forecast Cost, Report Actuals and analyze variances for financial results
• Operating budget preparation
• Standard Cost revisions
• Preparation and presentation of project results and analytical data to operations
• Calculations for Capital Project returns
• Projects as necessary
• Design and maintain internal controls
• Advise, consult and coordinate information with corporate personnel
• Lead, develop and assist other team members
• Create department vision and guiding principles to guide and direct the Accounting staff, ensuring the department vision and managing principles are consistent with corporate philosophy, direction, and goals.
• Manage the performance and development of personnel by setting clear expectations and standards of performance and identifying and providing the necessary skill development training.
• Working knowledge of internal customers
• Maximize limited time and resources to produce quality product
• Working knowledge of external customers

Kvalifikationer

Required skills:

• Ability to interpret financial data and standard cost concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.  Ability to mentor, motivate and delegate effectively to direct reports
• Strong computer skills with emphasis in Excel and SAP.   All other Microsoft Office products a plus
• Self-starter.  Quick learner.  Motivated to improve self and surroundings. Team player. Ability to embrace and manage change
• High degree of internal and external customer awareness
• Understanding of strong internal controls
• Knowledge of OptiVision, EPS, PI and Plant Applications desired
• Must have demonstrated line leadership experience & desire to succeed, with strong team orientation

Personliga egenskaper

Required Experience and Education:

• BS in Accounting or Finance.  MBA, CMA or CPA desired.
• 7-10 years manufacturing experience.  Paper industry experience desired

 

Travel:Negotiable
